Sportsmanship and Respect
Practical habits for fair play, communication, officials, opponents and shared facilities.
Compete without demeaning others
Effort and ambition do not require insults, intimidation or humiliation. Respectful competition allows athletes to test skills while protecting the dignity of everyone involved.
Officials and decisions
Officials make decisions in real time. Players and coaches can ask permitted questions calmly, then return attention to play. Abuse of officials harms the event and often creates penalties.
Win and lose responsibly
Acknowledge opponents, follow post-game customs and review performance without excuses or gloating. A result is information, not a measure of personal worth.
Protect the venue
Follow facility rules, clean shared spaces, report damage and respect other users. Good sportsmanship continues after the whistle.
